Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience working in schools, with knowledge of IEPs and related documentation Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other related services providers Ability to develop and implement effective, individualized therapeutic interventions Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs Deliver targeted therapy sessions to support students' fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom settings Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required Educate families and school staff on best practices for carryover and generalization of skills Stay current with best practices and compliance in special education Experience a role where your knowledge directly benefits students' lives and educational journeys.
