Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on an enriching contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated occupational therapist in a school-based environment near Lusby, MD. You'll collaborate with educational teams to help children meet their functional and academic goals for the 2026-2027 school year. With both Early Intervention and K-12 caseloads available, you can apply your expertise where it's needed most and truly make a difference in young lives.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Maryland Occupational Therapy license required Prior experience working with school-age children or in an educational setting is preferred Knowledge of IEP development and implementation Ability to manage documentation and adhere to state and district guidelines Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and families
Role Highlights:
Serve a diverse caseload: one Early Intervention (11-month) and one K-12 opening Full-time schedule aligned with the academic calendar (August 10th, 2026 - June 17th, 2027) Deliver direct OT interventions, assess student needs, and develop individualized treatment plans Participate as a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team for IEP meetings and planning Support classrooms and staff with strategies for student success and accessibility Track and report student progress, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements This contract offers a fulfilling chance to support students' growth, work closely with educators and families, and contribute essential expertise in a collaborative and welcoming setting.
