Description:
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is a licensed professional. They are responsible for performing Occupational Therapy services in the outpatient pediatric population. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, assesses, and plans treatment for occupational therapy services to ensure positive patient outcomes. They assess and document the pediatric patient's current functional status using clinical observations, caregiver reports, standardized testing, occupational profile, strengths, and participation challenges. The Occupational Therapist analyzes information to address foundational deficits causing difficulties with skill development. This role provides Occupational Therapy sessions and collaborates with families and caregivers in the clinic and throughout the community. The Occupational Therapist addresses goals and provides treatment that supports sensory-motor, cognitive, psychological, self-help, fine and gross motor skills, play, and behavioral development. This position modifies treatment goals as needed and documents family or caregiver involvement. Education required includes a master's degree from an accredited OT school. Previous pediatric experience is preferred for this role.
