Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation team at Gray Birch Long-Term Care. You'll work alongside an experienced, welcoming interdisciplinary team providing rehabilitation services to Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care residents in a supportive environment that prioritizes quality outcomes, clinical excellence, and patient dignity. Job Description:
What You'll Do Evaluate each patient's ability to safely and independently perform daily living activities. Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, safety, and quality of life. Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and discharge recommendations. Supervise and delegate care provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation support staff in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and caregivers to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Assist with department staffing needs and support other MaineGeneral rehabilitation locations as needed.
