Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the first half of the school year. This full-time position allows you to make a real impact across multiple educational settings, providing services both in Tecumseh and one day each week in Addison. Embrace a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with educators and families to create meaningful outcomes for children.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Proficiency with IEPs, assessments, and student evaluations Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic educational environments Commitment to fostering student independence and success
Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Track student progress and maintain accurate therapy documentation Provide consultative support to teachers, staff, and families Work collaboratively across multiple sites; primarily based in Tecumseh, with one scheduled day per week in Addison Promote skill development in motor planning, sensory processing, and self-care for students Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment or strategies for classroom and home use Enjoy a role where your expertise helps shape positive experiences and outcomes for students—enriching their school lives and supporting their potential in meaningful ways.
