Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a contract position supporting students during a maternity leave from early November through mid-February. This full-time assignment offers up to 40 hours per week, serving a school-based caseload for the 2026-2027 school year. Utilize your expertise to help students succeed by providing vital occupational therapy services within a collaborative educational setting. You'll step in for a valued team member on leave, making a positive impact on student growth and development in the school community.
Desired Qualifications:
Active, valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (must present a copy for verification) Prior experience in a school-based OT role strongly preferred Familiarity with educational settings and IEP processes Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills Ability to communicate and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative services to students as outlined in IEPs Develop and implement appropriate, individualized OT treatment plans Maintain accurate records and required documentation according to state and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise on student needs and supports Adapt and modify activities to increase student access and participation Enjoy a contract opportunity that allows you to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives.
