Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to provide hearing and vision screening and rescreening to identify possible barriers to learning. Performs audiograms. Determines referrals. Completes billing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Provides hearing and vision screening and rescreening for County residents, ages 3-18. Records and reviews results, notifies parents and schools, and recommends appropriate medical referrals. Researches available financial assistance for medical services; and bills Medicaid appropriately. Schedules, coordinates and facilitates screenings at County sites and schools. Assists community members in identifying and providing required identification documentation. Organizes, tracks, and manages equipment and supplies; orders supplies when needed. Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience 6 months + training beyond High School Less than 1 year of related work experience working with children and community members from diverse backgrounds Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities Required Licenses or Certifications Certified Hearing & Vision Professional
