Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services in a school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position covers a maternity leave running from early November through mid-February, offering up to 40 hours per week. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference by supporting students' growth, development, and independence during a key period of their educational journey.
What We're Looking For:
Active Michigan OT license (required; please provide a copy with your application) Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy, with a strong understanding of IEPs and diverse student needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and parents Ability to provide creative, individualized interventions in both group and one-on-one settings
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their educational plans Assess and document student needs, progress, and outcomes Collaborate with educational teams to adapt classroom environments and activities for optimal student participation Provide strategies, tools, and training to staff and families to support student success Manage caseload and progress reporting with professionalism and attention to detail This role is ideal for someone passionate about fostering student independence and inclusion.
