Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in a dynamic school environment. This maternity leave position is set for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning November 5th and extending through mid-February. You'll deliver full-time services, working up to 40 hours each week, providing valuable therapy and fostering growth in young learners.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Michigan OT license (must be able to present a copy) Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is highly valued Skills in evaluating and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication for collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and create effective, student-centered treatment plans Deliver OT services to students as specified in their IEPs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Document service delivery and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory standards Consult and provide recommendations to faculty on classroom accommodations and strategies to support access to the curriculum Educate families on activities and interventions that can be continued at home to reinforce goals This full-time contract role offers a chance to make an immediate impact during an important coverage period.
