Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A school district in the Detroit metro area is seeking a skilled and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time school-based opportunity. This position offers the chance to support students in developing the functional and motor skills necessary for success in the classroom and throughout daily school activities. Join a collaborative educational environment where you'll work alongside teachers, special education teams, and related service providers to help students reach meaningful academic and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with student IEP goals and individualized needs Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify areas of need and support planning Develop and implement treatment plans that encourage student participation and independence Support areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-help skills, and functional classroom performance Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required compliance documentation
Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join This Opportunity?
