Part-Time Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our speech and occupational therapy clinic on a part-time contractor basis. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, spanning all ages and disorders, with a special emphasis on sensory processing. As a self-starter and self-sufficient individual, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional therapy services, fostering positive relationships with clients and their families, and contributing to the overall success of our clinic.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' sensory processing and occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific goals and objectives. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and equipment to enhance clients' functional abilities and improve their overall quality of life. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, educators, and caregivers, to ensure integrated and holistic client care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records. Stay abreast of current research and developments in the field of occupational therapy, particularly in relation to sensory processing. Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients and their families. Demonstrate enthusiasm, positivity, and a fun-loving attitude while engaging with clients.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a pediatric or sensory-focused setting. Solid knowledge and understanding of various occupational therapy techniques and interventions. Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients, their families, and colleagues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Flexibility to work part-time hours, with the potential for building towards a full-time position.
