Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' development by providing essential occupational therapy services in a supportive school-based environment. This contract opportunity near Romulus, MI, runs from August through June 2026 and offers a flexible part-time schedule of 20-25 hours per week, allowing you to balance professional and personal commitments while making a difference.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid licensure to practice occupational therapy in Michigan Experience working in educational or pediatric settings, preferably within schools Knowledge of school-based therapy models and familiarity with IEP processes Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, organization, and documentation skillsKey Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative services to students, tailoring support to individual educational needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP development and progress reporting Develop and implement treatment plans that address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and organizational skills impacting academic success Collaborate with educators to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom setting, offering training and resources as needed Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, session notes, and all required documentation This assignment provides an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative school community, where your expertise will help students achieve their fullest potential.
