Job Description

Step into a role where you'll make a meaningful impact on students' lives! An experienced Occupational Therapist is sought for a contract opportunity this fall, supporting learners from September through December—with the potential for the position to extend if a permanent hire isn't made by the end of the year. You'll collaborate in an educational setting, applying your OT expertise to help students build skills for success in their school environment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan At least one year of OT experience, preferably in a school setting Ability to assess and develop action plans that support students' academic, emotional, and developmental growth Strong communication skills for teamwork with educators, families, and students Flexibility to adapt interventions for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' functional abilities and identify barriers to participation in school activities Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans in collaboration with IEP teams Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress for students with a range of needs Document all interactions and progress in accordance with district and legal guidelines Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify classroom materials and environments Communicate regularly with families and caregivers, fostering a supportive team approach This contract position offers a fantastic chance to work in a supportive school environment near South Lyon, MI, with a welcoming staff dedicated to student success.
