Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education as an Occupational Therapist, providing essential support to students for the remainder of the school year. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population, helping learners develop the skills needed for academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in school-based occupational therapy
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' therapy needs Develop, implement, and monitor goals and interventions that promote student independence Consult with teachers and staff to integrate strategies into classroom activities Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights and recommendations for student progress Adapt interventions and techniques to meet a variety of learning styles and needs You will be serving a vibrant school community, supporting students near Warren, MI, from late April through early June. Immediate availability is preferred, as this assignment begins as soon as possible and concludes at the end of the current school year.
