Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a part-time contract opportunity where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of young students. This role involves providing essential occupational therapy services within a supportive educational environment near Ypsilanti, MI. With a manageable caseload of about 25 students, you'll primarily serve at an elementary campus, offering your expertise district-wide and directly impacting student growth and engagement.

Qualifications:

Hold an active Michigan Occupational Therapist license Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy School-based experience is a plus, though not required—new graduates are welcome to apply Skilled in evaluating and treating a school-aged pediatric caseload Collaborative approach to working with teachers, parents, and student support teams

Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote student participation and success Collaborate with school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities Document assessments, services provided, and student progress in accordance with school policies Engage in IEP meetings and share recommendations to help students thrive academically and socially Anticipate a flexible schedule, working 2 1/2 school days each week (8:35am - 3:38pm), which allows for work-life balance and consistent student interaction.
