Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license valid in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date) Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or education-focused clinical setting is highly valued Ability to manage a diverse caseload of K-12 students with various needs Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, support staff, and families Commitment to fostering students' independence and functional skills in the educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with their IEP goals Conduct assessments and create goal-directed treatment plans tailored to each child's educational needs Collaborate closely with teachers, educational specialists, and family members to support student progress Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with school and professional standards Serve as an active participant in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
