Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time role offers the chance to make a lasting impact in a school environment, providing both maternity leave coverage and a full-time replacement through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications & Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Minnesota (MN) Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred, bringing familiarity with IEPs and collaboration with multidisciplinary education teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students, focusing on enhancing participation in educational activities and daily living skills Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to set student-centered goals and interventions Assess, develop, and implement personalized therapy strategies for students with diverse needs Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations for best practices and accommodations Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in accordance with school policies This role is ideal for an OT passionate about school-based practice, ready to engage with students in a dynamic, collegial setting.
