Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist, making a meaningful impact in both middle and elementary school settings. This contract position runs from September 18th through January 4th, delivering valuable services and continuity for students during a pivotal time in their school year. In this dynamic position, you'll provide direct occupational therapy support and be a guiding resource by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). With a schedule split between two vibrant school environments, you'll collaborate closely with staff and teachers to meet students' developmental and functional needs—empowering them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Prior experience in school-based OT services preferred Ability to supervise and mentor a COTA effectively Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with teachers, parents, and school teams Organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple responsibilities between sites
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement individualized OT interventions for students, adapting goals as needed Provide supervision, guidance, and support to the COTA to ensure high-quality service delivery Document progress, maintain student records, and communicate assessments and updates to relevant stakeholders Collaborate with educators and participate in multidisciplinary meetings for comprehensive student care Promote a positive and inclusive environment that fosters developmental growth This is an excellent chance to contribute your expertise to students who need your support and encouragement during the school year.
