Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Start a rewarding contract opportunity this school year as an Occupational Therapist, serving students between a middle school and an elementary location from September 18th through January 4th. This dynamic position ensures your professional impact reaches a wide range of grade levels, supporting student growth and achievement every day. As the lead OT, your expertise will make a difference for school-aged children while you also mentor and supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Enjoy the variety and collaboration of working across two educational sites, forging positive relationships with staff, students, and families in a welcoming community near Andover, MN.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain prior to start) Prior experience delivering OT services in school settings strongly preferred Comfortable providing support to students across elementary and middle school age groups Demonstrated leadership or supervision experience, especially overseeing a COTA Strong collaborative skills and commitment to evidence-based practice
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy evaluations, goal-setting, and evidence-based treatment interventions for students with diverse needs Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with educators, families, and related service teams Supervise and mentor a COTA, providing guidance on caseload management and service delivery Document progress, maintain compliance with school and state requirements Collaborate actively with special education staff and participate in team meetings as needed Adapt therapy approaches across various school environments to engage students at different developmental stages Step into a role that provides meaningful professional challenge in a supportive school community.
