Overview Welcome to Central Healthcare of Le Center Looking for an Occupational therapist (OT) to join our team on a part time basis with Flexible schedule! Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives across diverse settings. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, providing essential therapeutic services that promote independence, enhance functional abilities, and support overall well-being. Whether in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care rooted in evidence-based practices. Duties Assess patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop tailored occupational therapy plans that address individual needs and goals Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding to foster independence and improve quality of life Implement therapeutic interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or disabilities across pediatric and adult populations Contribute to discharge planning by evaluating patient progress and recommending appropriate therapies or home modifications Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems while adhering to medical terminology standards Collaborate with case managers, physicians, speech therapists, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care plans Support early intervention programs and work with students with disabilities or special education needs in school settings Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform effective treatment strategies Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or disabilities in various environments such as inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health settings Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medical terminology for accurate record keeping Skilled in case management and discharge planning processes to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings Ability to assist with ADLs and implement evidence-based practices for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and occupational health clients Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and communication Compassionate communicator capable of working effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including working with students with disabilities or special education needs Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact lives.
