Required Qualifications:

Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health in Occupational Therapy Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a multi-disciplinary team Ability to employ high expectations for students using a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media Knowledge and experience with due process procedures Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement intervention strategies for children with significant delays in motor development Assist with developing student Individualized Education Plan (IEP); assists case manager in establishing students' goals and objectives; completes appropriate components of a student's IEP Maintain documentation related to third party billing Complete re-evaluations including writing evaluation reports Maintain and complete progress notes, consultation notes, and/or letters Develop and demonstrate culturally responsive practices that lead to equitable outcomes for all students, particularly those groups of students that are over-represented in special education Demonstrate proactive response to support students with emotional regulation difficulties Provide instruction in strategies to support students in developing social emotional skills for success Demonstrate current knowledge of instructional best practices and methodology for school based Occupational Therapy (OT) Collaborate with others to plan, teach and support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure high levels of achievement Promote and develop strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents and other professionals Other related duties as assigned.
