is looking to hire a Hand Therapist to join our Hand Therapy team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency monitoring, compliance with professional organizations, regulatory standards, and regulatory agencies; and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction. The Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapist will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians, and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. Therapists will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.Work Schedule:
On call hand therapist. Weekdays and/or weekend coverage, PRN.Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree in occupational therapyLicensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice Registered nationally through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient with communication and data processing equipment. Proficient in clinical equipment related to area of expertise. Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Experience as an Occupational Therapist preferably in a medical setting with primarily hand patientsLicensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA), or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT)Benefits:
