Overview of Unit/DepartmentThe Branson Therapy Department is a smaller inpatient and outpatient team where staff longevity is strong, allowing you to learn from experienced colleagues.

Therapists have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patient types while enjoying a home-like environment where everyone knows each other.

Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates• Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus• Up to 40 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off• Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus• Clinical Ladder up to $5,000Job SummaryAn Occupational Therapist assists patients with minimizing disability and developing skills and attitudes to increase independent functioning in an inpatient setting.

Patients are referred for medical and educational services as indicated.

Responsible for planning and implementing prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for communication of care to patient care team regarding, treatment, equipment, discharge, and next level of care.

Job RequirementsEducation•
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program•
Preferred:
Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Occupational TherapyExperience• No prior experience requiredSkills• Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.• Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required• Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.

Licensure/Certification/Registration•
Required:
Active Missouri licensure for Occupational Therapy.(Limited permits not accepted)•
Required:
BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
