This role focuses on providing essential therapy services during a 12-week FMLA leave, with the potential for extension if the current staff members return is delayed. Youll positively impact students across various grade levels, primarily within the Normandy School District, and become an integral resource for their educational journey.

Desired Qualifications:

Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Missouri Experience working in a school setting preferred Comfortable adapting to new environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with documentation required for IEPs and educational progress Ability to pass time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting and submission of required compliance forms

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and provide direct therapy to students as outlined in IEPs Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and district guidelines Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain timely and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation Facilitate communication among stakeholders to help meet educational goals Travel between assigned schools if necessary (number of assigned schools to be determined) This full-time, on-site contract position offers the unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience in a supportive educational environment, cultivate valuable professional relationships, and help students reach their fullest potential.
