9683116-64055 Job Description Step into a fulfilling contract role as a school-based Occupational Therapist, providing impactful support to elementary students across three different buildings. This onsite position, located near Independence, MO, runs from January to April 2027, offering an engaging, diverse caseload in a collaborative educational environment. Youll deliver direct OT services to students at Manor Hill, Alexander Doniphan, and Shoal Creek schools. Each week includes dedicated time for testing, preparation, and paperwork, allowing you to balance hands-on intervention with thoughtful planning. Your expertise will help students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

Current Occupational Therapy licensure required Previous experience working as an OT in school settings strongly preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach Ability to manage a rotating caseload and adapt between environments Reliable organizational skills for documentation and planning

Primary Duties:

Deliver individualized and group OT services to students as outlined in IEPs Assess student needs and develop targeted intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student progress Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, assessments, and progress reports Utilize Fridays for assessments, planning, and required administrative work This full-time role lets you make a tangible difference while working in a supportive and dynamic setting.
