  • 4:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team for the 2026-2027 school year.
The COTA will provide occupational therapy services to students in grades 6-12 under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This position offers the opportunity to support students in developing the functional, motor, sensory, and self-advocacy skills needed for academic success and independence. Student Population Students in Grades 6-12 Middle School and High School settings

Caseload numbers have not yet been determined. Responsibilities
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, executive functioning, and daily living skills.
  • Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Assist with screenings, observations, and therapy-related assessments as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-centered planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Qualifications
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification and state licensure.
  • Previous experience in pediatric, adolescent, or school-based settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs. Benefits
