Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist directly impacts the lives of students and their families. This opportunity allows you to provide essential therapy services within a school environment while also supporting home health initiatives—offering variety and professional growth in a collaborative setting.
What We're Looking For:
Active Occupational Therapy license with eligibility to practice in the state Previous experience delivering OT services in schools, home health, or healthcare settings Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and goal development for school-aged children Excellent ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy programs across diverse settings Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to adapt strategies for a range of developmental, sensory, and physical needs Organizational skills to maintain documentation, scheduling, and compliance with school policies
What You'll Be Doing:
Evaluate and assess students to determine individual therapy needs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster students' success in academic and daily functioning Design and implement customized intervention plans in both classroom and home settings Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to each student's unique goals Provide training and resources for families and educational personnel as needed Track student progress, document session notes, and participate in IEP meetings Travel between school and home environments, as required by student caseload This is your chance to make a meaningful difference, utilizing your OT skills to help students build confidence and independence.
