Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling part-time contract opportunity where your expertise in school-based occupational therapy can make a significant difference for students. This flexible position offers the chance to deliver high-impact services via teletherapy and on-site, maintaining an engaging caseload of approximately 32-33 students. Most students require weekly services, with a small number benefiting from two sessions each week. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their educational and developmental milestones, all while enjoying a balanced work schedule.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT license (or eligibility) in Mississippi Demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings Strong understanding of IEP procedures, documentation, and progress monitoring Solid track record with teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery Excellent communication, adaptability, and collaborative skills with both school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with students' IEPs Deliver engaging occupational therapy sessions, both virtually and in-person as needed Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and communication with families and staff Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and parents to maximize student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions, contributing your expertise to student support plans
