Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience providing OT in schools, home health, or other healthcare settings Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational abilities Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not required
What You'll Do:
Evaluate students to determine their functional abilities in the school environment Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support academic participation and daily living skills Deliver direct therapy services to students and monitor progress Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive interventions Attend IEP meetings, contributing OT recommendations and expertise Document services, assessments, and student outcomes in compliance with district and regulatory standards Engage in consultation and training for staff as needed Adapt goals and strategies to address a diverse range of student needs
