Acute care hospital environment; travel assignment Responsibilities Organize and conduct occupation-based therapy programs to help patients improve daily living activities, mobility, and independence after injury or illness. Deliver OT services in the acute care setting, incorporating outpatient hands-float to acute care as needed, and applying modality endorsements per MT guidelines. Conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to meet patient goals and safety considerations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, contribute to discharge planning, and educate patients and caregivers on ongoing home programs. Consider patient gender, age, cultural differences, and educational needs in all evaluations and interventions. Document clinical findings, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
