Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real difference by providing occupational therapy services in a supportive school environment near Boonville, NC! This contract opportunity is ideal for an organized, compassionate Occupational Therapist looking to help students develop the skills they need to thrive academically and personally.
Preferred Background & Skills:
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in North Carolina Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience highly valuable Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans Skilled in maintaining documentation compliant with educational and therapy standards Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Experience conducting assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions Flexibility and creativity in adapting to a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with varying abilities Develop goals and therapy interventions aligned with IEPs and student needs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' educational participation Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary Assist teachers in understanding and implementing classroom adaptations and supports Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to best serve each student This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact in students' lives by enhancing their independence, confidence, and overall success in the classroom.
