Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving school communities as a licensed Occupational Therapist. Make a meaningful difference by supporting students through a school-based, itinerant position filling a maternity leave. This full-time role is slated to start as soon as possible and continue through late January, offering flexibility and valuable experience within a vibrant educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (must provide proof of licensure) Experience working in schools as an Occupational Therapist Familiarity with school-based documentation and caseload management Proficiency in ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System) or similar digital IEP/paperwork systems Strong communication and collaboration skills, both in-person and virtually Ability to work independently while managing itinerant schedules across multiple locations

Responsibilities:

Deliver therapy services to K-12 students, supporting their academic, social, and functional needs Manage an itinerant caseload across school sites as assigned Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams, including special education staff, teachers, and families Participate in IEP meetings, develop and implement individualized treatment plans Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district standards Use ECATS for tracking interventions, progress, and outcomes
