Key Qualifications:

Valid OT license through the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT) Masters degree in Occupational Therapy preferred (post-graduate OT degree required) Demonstrated experience in a school setting conducting therapy and documenting services Proficiency in motor screenings, school-based OT evaluations, and assessment of students functional and educational skills Familiarity with standard school-based assessment tools; expertise with Sensory Processing Measure2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2 Deep understanding of assessment interpretation and its application in the educational setting Strong communication and organizational abilities

Essential Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services, adapting strategies for diverse student needs Conduct thorough motor screenings and comprehensive OT evaluations Document services in accordance with district guidelines and policies Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student IEPs and functional outcomes Participate in monthly workload reviews as part of a dynamic workload model Serve multiple schools within an assigned region; specific caseloads and sites will be defined during hiring
