Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you'll work closely with students to foster independence, boost participation, and facilitate positive learning experiences as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in the ESY program, collaborating with teachers and support staff to help each student reach their full potential. From developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to monitoring progress and adapting strategies, your expertise will make a direct, positive impact.
Key Qualifications:
Active license or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina Previous experience working within a school-based environment preferred Strong understanding of pediatric therapy practices, IEP processes, and sensory integration Genuine passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities Excellent communication, teamwork, and organization skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' functional needs within the school setting Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment strategies in line with IEP goals Collaborate with educators, support personnel, and families to create accessible learning environments Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate each student's unique strengths and challenges This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference during the ESY period in a supportive and energetic school community.
