Skilled Nursing / Rehabilitation About the Role Pine Acres Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to support residents recovering from illness, injury, or functional decline. This role focuses on helping individuals regain independence in daily activities through structured therapeutic interventions in a long-term care setting. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team to support rehabilitation goals tailored to each resident's needs. What You'll Be Doing Evaluate residents' functional abilities related to daily living tasks. Develop and carry out individualized therapy interventions focused on improving independence and safety. Provide hands-on treatment to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and self-care skills. Observe and adjust therapy approaches based on resident progress and response. Document treatment sessions, outcomes, and functional changes in accordance with facility standards. Coordinate care plans with nursing staff, physicians, and other therapy disciplines. Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive strategies and home exercise programs. Participate in care planning discussions and interdisciplinary meetings. Assist with coverage across nearby facilities when needed based on census or staffing needs. What We're Looking For Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Active OT license in the state of North Carolina. Prior experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting preferred. Ability to safely assist with resident mobility and transfers (up to 50 lbs as needed). Strong communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a flexible per diem role.
