Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist providing essential support to students in a school-based setting near Mount Airy, NC. Your expertise will help create positive educational experiences, remove barriers to learning, and empower children to reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold a current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina Previous experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations is highly valued Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and educational best practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' therapy needs Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans focused on academic and functional goals Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in small groups Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and documentation Consult with educational staff and families to ensure strategies support student progress Maintain accurate records and document progress in accordance with school and state requirements Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development This is a dynamic, contract-based role designed for an adaptable and committed OT ready to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
