JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Occupational Therapist / OT position is to be responsible for providing skilled occupational therapy. The occupational therapist will assess, plan, and implement personalized occupational therapy interventions to enhance residents' quality of life and functional independence. Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Serves as a clinical resource for the therapy department. Provides ongoing mentorship, coaching, and feedback to other therapists to support clinical growth. Assists with onboarding and training of new therapy staff, including clinical skill development and workflow orientation. Reviews documentation for clinical accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance as needed. Provides guidance and corrective feedback related to documentation standards and payer requirements. Helps the DOR lead and support training initiatives along with ongoing staff education. Identifies development opportunities for therapy team members and provides guidance to enhance clinical skills and performance. Contributes to the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of therapy programs and service lines. Provides input into performance review processes, including staff feedback, coaching, and development planning. Has advanced clinical expertise with the ability to guide and mentor therapy staff in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Prefer 2-3 years of experience working as a licensed therapist in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting. May support facilities clinically within the region as requested. Supervise and guide certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) Collaborate with other health care professionals in the assessment, planning, and safe implementation of all therapy Be a resident advocate where the resident is the center of all we do Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff Provide clinical documentation Create positive resident outcomes Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times Help create a culture of superior customer service

REQUIREMENTS
