Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity shaping student growth and success as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year! Embrace the rewarding challenge of supporting students' unique needs across various school locations, with your assignments finalized before the school year begins. You'll be part of a collaborative environment—contributing your skills to develop and implement individualized plans that foster independence, participation, and confidence in every child.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid North Carolina Occupational Therapy license required Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable Solid understanding of school-aged development, sensory processing, and assistive technology Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, educators, and familiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students aged preschool through high school, as assigned Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and other support staff to facilitate student progress and classroom participation Document progress, maintain compliance with district and state guidelines, and participate in IEP meetings Provide consultation, training, and resources to staff and families to encourage carryover and student successPerks of This Opportunity:
