Job Description
Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license. Prior experience working with children or within school systems, preferred. Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal setting for students. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Dedication to fostering an encouraging learning environment for diverse student populations. Comfortable adapting therapeutic interventions to meet individual student needs.Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver both direct and consultative OT services in accordance with students' IEPs. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to student assessments, progress reporting, and collaborative support planning. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines. Educate students, teachers, and families on strategies to promote independence and functional success.
