POSITION SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team, responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21 Responsible for adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association Uses creativity, professional judgment, and problem solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes. Participates in patient and family teaching and works collaboratively with other disciplines. The OT plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of physical skills, play based activities, social-emotional development, sensory processing, motor performance, and cognitive abilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MA/MS/MOT in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program NJ OT licensure or eligibility for licensure 1-2 years of pediatric OT experience Experience with treating sensory processing disorders in an outpatient setting preferred Experience working with neurological and vestibular diagnoses preferred, however, willing to train CPR certification Strong organizational / time management skills Good oral and written communication skills Ability to work well as a team member
