Elevate your career. Join Career Links. Career Links is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services to students in a PreK-8th grade educational setting. This unique opportunity offers a 4-day work week , allowing for excellent work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on students' educational and developmental success. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students with a variety of physical, sensory, developmental, and educational needs. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and assessments for students in PreK through 8th grade. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and IEP goals. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school environment. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Recommend adaptive equipment, sensory supports, and environmental modifications. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing as required. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations. Qualifications Required Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Occupational Therapist license through the New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department (RLD). Current NBCOT certification. Eligibility to obtain and maintain any required New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) school-based credentials. Ability to pass state, federal, and district background checks. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Preferred Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience. Experience working with students receiving special education services. Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
