Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy services in both high school and elementary settings. With a contract position available for the upcoming school year, this is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced OT to support students from PreK through 12th grade. The role begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, allowing you to plan ahead for your next professional adventure. Enjoy stable, full-time hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key qualifications and preferred experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with active credentials in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain) Prior school-based OT experience highly valued Background in home health or healthcare OT is a plus Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families Adaptability across both high school (10th-12th grade) and elementary (PreK-6th grade) populations Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet diverse needs Key responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative OT services to students across PreK through 12th grade as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments/evaluations to determine students' needs and progress Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education team members, and families Deliver support in both classroom and small group settings Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings Create adaptive strategies and activities that foster student independence and engagement This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference for students of all ages while building strong professional connections within an educational setting.
