Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services onsite across multiple schools throughout the district. Supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), fostering strong partnerships and ensuring quality care. Assess and address the needs of students from early childhood through high school, adapting interventions for diverse developmental stages. Travel between school campuses as required; reliable transportation and adaptability are a must. Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Required Qualifications:
Active OT licensure in New Mexico (NMRLD) by the assignment start date. NMPED certification (fast to obtain for those who act quickly). Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is highly desirable. Comfortable working with all ages and ability levels. Willingness to travel to multiple locations within the district as needed. Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.
