Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Open an exciting new chapter in your career as an Occupational Therapist with a contract opportunity serving school-aged children near Mesquite, NM. This full-time, onsite role runs from July 20, 2026, through May 20, 2027, supporting students' growth, independence, and academic success. You'll enjoy a rewarding work week of 35 hours, collaborating with educators and parents in a supportive school environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active OT license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain by assignment start date) Previous experience in a school setting is preferred Strong ability to assess and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to the social and emotional development of all students Key responsibilities include: Conducting occupational therapy assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs Developing and implementing targeted intervention plans that support IEP objectives Delivering direct and consultative OT services to students (onsite only) Documenting progress, preparing required reports, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines Serving as a valued resource for staff and parents to promote students' independence and participation in the classroom and beyond You'll be part of a dynamic school-based team making a difference in children's lives every day.
