What youll need to succeed:

Current New Mexico state license (NMRLD) as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). NMPED certification through the New Mexico Department of Education, or willingness to obtain by your start date. Experience in school-based OT practice is highly valued. Ability and willingness to supervise COTAs. Confidence in traveling between multiple school sites within the district. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Open to candidates living in or near southern New Mexico, including El Paso, TX, and surrounding communities.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to students across various age groups and educational needs. Collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Supervise and support COTAs, ensuring therapy services are delivered to the highest standard. Maintain clear, timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as required.
