Job Description

Occupational Therapist InReach Rehab is seeking a flexible and dedicated full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, NM. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about helping patients regain independence, improve daily function, and enhance their quality of life in a collaborative rural healthcare environment. Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate patients to determine functional needs, goals, and treatment priorities. Develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence, safety, and daily function. Implement evidence-based interventions to improve ADLs, IADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and mobility. Fabricate, fit, or recommend adaptive equipment and educate patients and caregivers on its use. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Supervise and mentor COTAs while directing patient treatment plans, as appropriate. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and functional independence. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and a collaborative team culture. Requirements Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated graduation). Current New Mexico OT license, or eligibility for licensure upon graduation. Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes. Experience in rural healthcare or a passion for serving rural communities. Comfort supervising and collaborating with COTAs. Strong documentation and time-management skills.
