Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of children! Achievement Center for Therapy is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a position in Las Vegas, NV. This can be a part-time or full time position (with opportunity for growth into full-time) in a private practice setting, working beside SLPs and ABA professionals alike. Located in Las Vegas, NV, Achievement Center for Therapy proudly serves the families of lovely Clark County; located in the friendly, fast-growing community of Summerlin. The Achievement Center for Therapy facility is state of the art; providing each employee with ample space for individual and group therapy. Therapists have access to private therapy rooms, feeding therapy rooms, an observation room, and a motor-sensory gym. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in growing with our company long-term and becoming a valued part of our team. Many of our staff members have remained with us for an average of 5-8+ years, and we highly value individuals who are collaborative, dedicated, and committed to building lasting relationships with our patients, families, and team. Minimum Requirements:
A passion for working with pediatrics (typical ages range from 2-12 yrs old) A graduate of OT program accredited by ACOTE or equivalent per Nevada OT Board requirements Current valid NV license as an Occupational Therapist or license applicant status Must be able to provide proof of current TB Test (within 60 days) CPR/ First Aid certification Work well with others on the team and parentsEssential Functions:
Conducts discipline-specific patient evaluations, assessments, consultations, and treatment, as a member of an interdisciplinary team in accordance with program protocol and federal and state regulations and guidelines. Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals. Provides accurate, timely documentation of patient evaluations and daily progress notes. Evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Confer with the patient, medical practitioners, and others appropriate to plan, implement and assess the intervention program. Direct and supervise supportive personnel, assessing their competence, delegating specific tasks to them and establishing channels of communication. Develop and update the appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to the person's age and lifestyle with measurable long and short-term goals. Provide Movement, Hands-On, and Table Top therapy sessions individualized for each patient and their needs. Works well with others on a team for collaboration.
