Buffalo Lymphatic Management is a specialty outpatient practice dedicated to providing comprehensive lymphedema and edema management services. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting professional growth and advanced clinical specialization. We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. This role is ideal for therapists interested in developing expertise in lymphedema management and pursuing advanced certification. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services for patients with lymphedema, lipedema, edema, post-surgical swelling, and related conditions. Prior lymphedema certification is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate and support certification opportunities for therapists who demonstrate commitment to the specialty. Responsibilities Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide treatment interventions, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), compression therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient and caregiver education, and edema management strategies. Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Assist with compression garment measurements and fittings. Participate in ongoing clinical training and professional development.
Qualifications Required:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current New York State Occupational Therapist license. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
Experience in outpatient rehabilitation. Interest in lymphedema, oncology rehabilitation, wound care, or edema management. Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) credential or willingness to pursue certification. What We Offer Flexible per diem scheduling. Opportunity for transition into a full-time position.
