Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license, with eligibility to practice in the state Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued Strong assessment, observation, and documentation abilities Effective communication skills to connect with students, staff, and families Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and school environments Commitment to fostering student growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct functional assessments, develop targeted interventions, and monitor progress Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and family members to implement effective strategies in and out of the classroom Provide guidance and training to educators regarding classroom accommodations and sensory needs Accurately maintain and update all required documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary teams Experience the rewards of seeing students gain confidence and skills to succeed not just in the classroom, but in daily life.
