Job Description

For over 75 years, Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) has been a trusted leader in providing high-quality services to individuals with special needs and developmental challenges. Our Apple Preschool is a dedicated special education preschool for children ages 3 to 5 years with special needs. We provide a warm, supportive and child-centered environment where children, families and staff are valued.. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. Our bright, welcoming school offers spacious therapy rooms equipped with a wide variety of pediatric therapy materials, sensory equipment and adaptive resources. You will work alongside an experienced Therapy Department Supervisor and a friendly, collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to helping every child succeed.
Work schedule:
School Calendar schedule. Per Diem (15 to 20 hours a week) with the possibility of additional hours based on program needs .
Hours:
8:30 am - 2:30 pm . Flexible scheduling.
Pay:
$72 to $82 per hour, based on experience
Start Date :
September 2026
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans Provide direct occupational therapy services Monitor progress and update treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate documentation Complete quarterly and annual progress reports Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families and other team members Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and IEP discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current New York State Occupational Therapist license Pediatric and/or special education experience preferred Strong communications and teamwork skills Compassionate, organized and dedicated to supporting children and families.
